Gemini Elementary School

The Stormwater Program worked with Gemini Elementary School to construct approximately two acres of dry retention areas and swales on school property to treat stormwater runoff before it reaches the Lagoon. The dry rentention areas are used by students as play areas, and a soccer fileld.  In addition, 28 inlet baskets and five baffle boxes were installed in the neighborhood.  A dry retention area located at the corner of Barracuda Drive and South River Road was landscaped by the department and adopted by the homeowners' association.
